elhafeez:
With 13% derivation oil revenue see their schools. they earn billions of revenue every month they transfer it to Akpabio's account.
I expect some wailers should blame FG or buhari for this. or claim marginalization. when governors cannot play their role in providing basic education.

Come and see schools in Kano and Katsina you would be impressed. Kaduna state is working towards that too.

Oga, rest. If you want to criticize southern governors do the same with fellow southern governors.

It's an insult to compare southern Nigeria to northern Nigeria in terms of education because the south is miles ahead.

You should also go and check the primary schools Amaechi built in Rivers State

I schooled in Uyo and I must tell you that Akwaibom state is trying. It's just that federal presence in the state is lacking despite its contributions to oil revenue.. Another problem is that the indigenes are too dependent on the government which unfortunately can't do all that are needed... There elites are too selfish and live lavish lifestyle without giving back to the society... Poverty is high though the people are not that hardworking like their Igbo neighbors... They're not ambitious in nature and can settle for less... There only hope for a better life is restructuring

I appreciate the effort of akwa ibom state govt under his Excellency Udom, they're really trying, however, the advantages of vocational college in the state is unquantifiable. The government should consider the interest of the people.

I don't understand why people would be begging politicians to do the right thing when they should be demanding they do the right thing or be voted out of office. That's the main reason why politicians do what they want to .... they would be voted back into office anyways.

This is so true for those who know, akpabio mis used a golden opportunity to make the state alot better

Please leave Akpabio out of this. Akpabio practically transformed Ajwa Ibom from a backwater village to a choice destination in the South South. Besides its up to the current administration as the previous administration can't do everything despite its high score in civil infrastructure.

so Cletus Ukpong, an investigative journalists failed to tell us that the school is sitted behind a massive ravine and was closed down earlier for the safety of the school children and teachers. who wants to wake up one day to see yourself inside a massive Ravine? a part of the Ravine has been salvaged and efforts are still on the way to redeem the rest.

...MR INDUSTRIALIZATION, UDOM IS RIGHT

Stop saying what you don't know. Mechanical engineering is not about car repair. A typical American trained mechanical engineer may also not be able to troubleshoot his car problems, unless he learnt that on his own or also attended a vocational school (Nigeria's equivalent of technical college).

My brother their mentality is repulsive.....

They simply don't know the difference between a technician and an Engineer

In their small minded world, mechanical means motor (cars)

It is a shame that most Nigerians went to schools but are still illiterates

I schooled at federal technical college, abak.
My parent transferred me from the closed down college because of so many reasons.

- there was a crisis that let to suspension of the college back then. During the riot, I personally see students fabricating local pistols.

- local cult activities was germinating

But that was the best technical college in the state as at then.

The zoo states and federal governments are seriously lazy set of terrorists.

Nigerian politicians in government are the main terrorists citizens to fight against.

But unfortunately, the citizens are being brainwashed by these terrorists politicians.

Only Biafra restoration that can bring positive developments and infrastructures to the people. Not these corrupt and lazy Nigerian politicians only there to steals taxpayers money.

Very sad to hear about this story. You have written very big document. Majority of governments, don't spend sufficient amount of money for educational works. In Sri Lanka, politicians always try to spend money for their luxury life. They don't try to develop education. This is very bad condition. Most of teachers go abroad for [url=https://suhada-maru..com/2017/09/teaching-vacancies-in-sri-lanka-for.html
]teaching careers[/url].

Abandoned technical college. One of many abandoned in the country. Now we understand why we cannot make ordinary toothpick or pencil. Technical colleges abound in Germany. They supply the brains behind VW, BMW, Audi, Meercedes and indeed the manpower that runs the largest economy in Europe.

The situation is worst here in Taraba state, school buildings everywhere but almost all of them are in a comatose state.
Most of them are now used for IDP

Akwa Ibom and Taraba has no business compsring itself to Taraba with a fraction of the budget.
