When a car's ride is not smooth(i can feel every pothole/rough roads i drive through in my seats/steering), and passes the strut/absorber test, what else could be wrong? Is it possible for a car to pass the absorber test (does not keep bouncing when pressed down, and no oil leakage) and still need an absorber/strut replacement?

I experienced same in my Camry until i detected that the stabilizer rod and leakages were not there. Having replaced both of them, i was surprised at the smoothness in drive and excellent absorber response.

Check yours and liaise with your mechanic for action.

Those stabilizer rods are so easy to overlook. Good thing is they are cheap.

turned out it was the stabilizer rod bushing not seating properly. Was retightened and feels much better.
