Elliot Ugochukwu Uko is the leader of the influential Igbo youth movement(IYM). In a chat with online media portal, Kpakpando TV, Mr Uko stated that the May 30th sit at home order by IPOB which majority of people of the old Eastern Region complied with, completely negates the terrorist tag that government put on them. He also lampooned the recent South East summit on restructuring. Hear him............

"By asking the people to stay at home on the 30th of May and majority of the people complied with that order, IPOB not only rubbished the terrorist tag put on them, they also embarrassed the Federal Government and established themselves as a dominant force in their area of influence. If the people regarded IPOB as a terrorist group, they would have never have obeyed any directive from them. How can the very people IPOB are alleged to be terrorising be willingly following their tormentors? It makes no sense.

"On the recent summit on restructuring held in Awka, I have been involved in hosting and holding such summits for the last 24 years. We have passed that stage a long time ago. What we should be talking about now is the practical steps being taken to restructure Nigeria. Holding a summit just to tell the world that you want restructuring is like dragging people like me back to Nursery School"

That is why the Fed Govt was so desperate to sabotage the sit @ home order because they didn't want to face the shame of after tagging Ipob terrorist organization, they still command respect in Eastern region.
Buhari exhausted all avenues to ensure that such sit at home order didn't take place to the extent that he released some funds for one Nigerianist to hold their rallies in Oba, Awka, Umuahia , Abakiliki and Asaba, yet nobody came out and the Nig money he released for such event has been pocketed (Mr Integrity my foot)

Buhari is a shameless terrorist.

It's funny that they are finally using East or Eastern region when they talk about IPOB. Even Afonjas media now use East. Before it's SE or Igboland.

IPOB has made the FG/Buhari look so silly, vindictive and clueless. They have also succeeded in putting Ohanaeze in their place and exposed them finally as self seeking opportunists. IPOB made up of ordinary guys in the street are not listening or regarding the so called Igbo elite. Uko is 100% right. That Awka summit has not done anything new or proffer any solutions that are realistic

A whole region shut down. No be beans. IPOB deserve some accolades.

The bitter truth remains that Ipob as a body don't even care if the zoo government proscribe or not rather we plan and execute our lay down plans.
Radio Biafra London is still on
The masses still listing to Ipob, sit at home is typical example.
Ipob members are still increasing, in fact some are joining because it was proscribed.
Our court cases both in abuja and other places still witness members, so does proscribing have any meaning the answer is capital no.
