Why APC Has Failed – Shehu Sani by 8Ebisco: 12:26pm On Jun 05, 2018
The senator representing Kaduna Central district, Shehu Sani says the All Progressives Congress (APC) has failed to organize successful congresses in his state and other parts of the country.

Sani said this during an interview on Channels Television’s politics programme titled: Roadmap 2019 on Monday.

According to him, the failure of APC to set an example for other parties by organizing hitch-free congresses reflects the troubles within the party.

“What I can say of the APC congresses, is that it is reflective of the realities, the chaos, the troubles, the headaches and the heartaches of the party itself.

“The congresses were supposed to showcase internal democracy. It was also supposed to showcase that the party has come of age and it was determined to set an example and to inspire others to follow but what we have seen was that the congresses turned out to be the summation of its trouble.

“The party was supposed to demonstrate that it is a good and better alternative and that it can control its members and carry everyone along.

“But the reality is that the APC as a party has failed to organize congresses… All that they did was simply to pretend that there was one and at the end of the day, write lists in a hotel and submit it to the headquarters as the list of delegates.”

Sani warned that if the party refuses to address the grievances and the issues that were raised from the congresses “there will be trouble in the end”.

Nigerians are funny breed of people. They are ready to choose a man of long track record of incompetence as president at the expense of credible candidates and expect sterling performance even when the obvious is staring at them. A man claimed to be incorruptible but the people under him that he is supposed to supervise are supremely corrupt and and one is being persuaded to count it as virtue for him. If a man who supervises a system(PTF) that ran in such roguish lopsided form under his watch can be described as being vicariously incompetent he also can be said to be vicariously corrupt if a system he is incompetently heading is swimming in corruption. He cannot just occupy a leadership position that calls for responsibility where he sees and hears no evil even when they seem to abound without being described as possessed. We are reaping the results of bad choices made in 2015 where mediocrity was heroically celebrated by electing a man with the least qualification and whose drive is only to further the political and religious interest of his ethnic group...(Peter Okeke)

No senator Sanni! APC failed simply because they were a band of clueless power thirsty fellas with no idea of what governance is all about but who ganged up against a common political enemy & thereafter begin to tear themselves apart.
