You aren't in Akwa Ibom shows that you aren't in touch with the happenings in the state.

You talked of jobs, what do you think the Syringe Factory, Metering company, Pencil company, fertilizer blending factory and others will do? Is it Americans or Chinese that are working there? The side industries that springs up nko?

As for foreign investors, Akwa Ibom state is the second largest in terms of Foreign Direct investment in Nigeria since Udom took over. Was it not foreign investors that brought the billions to invest in the Syringe Factory, Metering Company and others?

Please, let's be factual!

ExxonMobil is relocating it's headquarters to Akwa Ibom

What he is currently doing is encouraging no matter how 'little' some may think. I believe that what Udom is currently doing is laying the ground for sustainable development. The hatchery was envisaged since the time of Akpan Isemin as i heared. Plans are on for a dairy farm, coconut plantation, a metering industry, etc. If Akwa ibom will continue like this in the medium term the bigger industries will start arriving.

My problem with the governor is that i hear he's owing pensioners. Nothing annoys me like that.when people die because they couldn't receive their small pensions to take care of themselves it's disheartening.

He's not owing pensioners.

My Friend, Akwa Ibom People Are Hungry. He Promised Them Industrialization. Building Few Roads (though I've Nt Heard Of Any Being Completed Yet), Some Class Blocks, Syringe And Pencil "companies", Is Nothing To Throw A Party For, When U Look At Hw Much Akwa Ibm Receives In A Month. Let Me Nt Go Further. Just Stop Celebrating Mediocrity.

Nigerians in general are hungry. Udom is trying. Applaud him for that. To me, he's currently the best Nigerian governor.
That syring company is epic if you've bin there(I have two friends working there), the Metering company isnt bad(I have just a friend working there though many applied for the job), what about the hatchery? Humans are working there as well. Don't forget the resuscitated peacock paint that is almost sending other paint companies out of Akwa Ibom.
He's completed the injection sub station in nwaniba rd, I have 2 friends working there, that's why there is improvement in power supply within Ewet housing, osongama, part of nwaniba n oron rd, etc. he's building another sub station in ekim which is completed waiting for commissioning and he's said he'll build one substation in eket n oron very soon.
Let's encourage him and pressurized him to improve especially on road construction cos that's the area akpabio beats him hands down and I feel he's failed in that area, let's also discourage the building of that worship center, it's of no use to Akwa ibomite.

Eket stadium is bin reconstructed to meet international standard, thus turning Akwa Ibom to a sporting destination in Nigeria . He's signed an agreement with a Canadian firm to manage the Ibom specialist hospital and similar agreement has bin reached regarding five star hotels.
Udom is doing well. Don't forget that mobil is relocating to Akwa Ibom next year, so hopefully, more jobs will spring up.

I ain't shiftin'anything

I only ask for gameboyo 's opinion about the Road Construction he clearly stated that Gov'nor Udom needs to improve comparin'it to his predecessor Senator Akpabio.

What i actually wanna know is whether Udom hasn't done enough or the road done so far is not of high quality?

I asked you about the Administrative block you posted, if it's for Gov'ment Girls School, Abak or AKS University, and you are yet to reply me.

I know 2019 is around the corner the reason behind this thread.

That's the school I think not Aks Uni.

Thanks a lot for emphasising on the positives of Udom.

The roads of Akwa Ibom are of high quality! Akpabio set a precedent that Udom taking to the next level.

..these projects are laudable, but my issue is with ownership of these projects. Government invests a whole lot in these factories and at the end a greater percentage goes to the foreign owners. You create jobs where the bottom feeders are getting a little more than the minimum wage, how does that promote growth on the long run? Where are the grants and loans for individuals to go into the distribution chain?

What agreements are these projects? A technical transfer agreement would be best as the foreign guys will come in, build and manage, then transfer skills and handover the assets.

Also we are receiving so much, and we deserve more. Not just building factories here and there with our funds, at the end the shareholders is made of foreign guys and a few individuals.

The project that should be fast tracked is the port development. The ripple effect will be massive. Still, the government needs to invest in its people for overall growth.

Long story short.

The achievements in the richest State in Nigeria with just 5 million people are....DRUM ROLL...

On paper print out and invisible achievements.

2-5 projects..not even meaningful enough to reach half a page on NL..

Apart from the rich oil money, they ate up N173 billion debt, the 4th largest debt portfolio in Nigeria and instead of asking where the money went, he's posting mediocre rubbish ...

Even akpabio who passed larger budgets than Lagos State under Fashola completed less than 5 projects after 1 flyover, 1 cinema, 1 library 1 football field and 1 uncompleted hospital.

This is really a comical and shameless thread...

Udom Emmanuel lacks ideas. All his so called industries have only created 70 jobs.

Case in Point: Udom claims to have built a chicken hatchery but poultry farmers in the state are still ordering their DOCS - day old chickens from Oyo state. Why?

Akwa Ibom state government did not invest one kobo in the Metering industry, Syringe project and others. It is 100% PPP where investors put in money and the state play their own non monetary role.

The board of the Syringe Factory is made of 10% foreigners, 70% Akwa Ibomites and 20% non Akwa Ibom citizen but Nigerians.

Udom Emmanuel is a joke!
FEAR GOD!

The Syringe Factory alone has created over 600 direct jobs (as at time of inauguration in 2017). Not to talk of hundreds/thousands of indirect jobs.

Now add the metering factory, pencil industry, fertilizer factory and others that are already in full operation.

Hate is allowed but always have fear of God
