A Nigerian man who fainted after donating blood for free to a hospital to save lives, has been allegedly forced to cough out N7,000 to recover his own blood.

The gist making the rounds indicates that the unidentified man reportedly collapsed while walking out of the undisclosed hospital after freely donating his own blood. But when he was rushed back into the hospital, the authorities insisted that help would not come to him till he paid N7,000.

The report, originally shared on the social media by a man who identifies himself as Code Raymond via Twitter handle

“I’m really tired of Nigeria. My friend fainted as we were leaving the hospital after donating blood for free. He is fine now; all he had to do was pay 7 thousand naira to get his blood back. I kid you not, this country is MAD”.
