According to a report in Spanish daily ‘Sport’, Spanish champions Barcelona have joined the chase for Monaco star Thomas Lemar.

Lemar appears like he could well be one of the most talked about names on the market this summer, with reports that numerous European heavyweights are carefully monitoring his progress.

His performances for the Monegasque facet over the last two seasons have led many to claim that the 22-year-old is one of the best players Guadeloupe has ever produced, with Atletico Madrid, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City, amongst others, all thought to have registered their interest.

Because of the interest in him, Barca is aware that they must spend hugely to get their man, with a payment of €70 to €90m mooted in some quarters.
