Senate President Bukola Saraki has said that he has responded to the Police’s letter to him in the ongoing Offa robbery investigation. The robbery incident which led to the death of over lives of 30 persons on the 5th of April 2018.
Saraki, in the statement by his Special Adviser Yusuph Olaniyonu said the allegations were “baseless” and “another ploy by the Police to implicate him by all means”.Saraki, who had earlier alerted the senate of an alleged plot to implicate him in the robbery said it was “concocted to embarrass me and, in the mind of the IGP, it is his own response after his refusal to honour the invitation by the National Assembly, headed by me, for him to come and offer explanations on the rampant killings and violence across the country.”
