Those of you conversant with African Religion and practices, is there emphasis on Love for Man and Neighbour-not romantic love between lovers-as we see in other Major world religions

Christianity teaches love just the way Islam teaches peace.

These are just selling points of the religions and has nothing to do with the reality on ground.

All religions balance the practice of hatred with the teaching of love. Any religion that teaches hatred alone can never survive.

Histar 6:11-13
11. And they fought Histar for five years, but the hands of Histar prevailed. And Mezen became great, such that Histar in his lifetime had millions of homos on earth whose religion was Mezen.
12. And Histar died, being seventy-five years. And the religion of Histar was revisited in a short while after his death. For the Jews in Merkes and Anghloz had begun to gain strength.
13. And they, being given freehand in the governing of Merkes and Anghloz did declare against the belief of Histar. And the religion of Histar was seen as a religion which encouraged racism, having no words of wisdom and morality in it at all, except violence.

They may not necessarily teach hatred, they may teach you to be good, so that good may come to you, your generation etc.
But to be loving, like respect your fellow man, equality/equity, love your Neighbour like yourself, values on self-sacrifice, etc are strong hallmarks in The teachings of Jesus Christ.

But the teachings of this same character reveals the hatred of a supposed creator towards its creations. That's where the character got it wrong. A creator ready to throw his creations into everlasting fire forever is not only detrimental to people's emotions but to their minds too.
BTW, there's no Jesus Christ, it is a made-up character.

Talking about the word LOVE , is there anything like that in the Quran?
Is it there in any of these African traditional IFA reference books?

Because, it is more powerful to say i love you than to say i want to live in peace with you.

The real African traditional religion, in its purity practiced without influence from Christianity, Islam etc (which is almost non-existent to be honest) Tends to be more philosophical
eg most teaches that life is entirely fixed and Some persons have been predestined to be greater than the others
but the gospel teaches that Nobody is special per say, God is not partial (Acts 10:34-43), that a man reaps what he sows(Gal 6:7) Anything good or bad can happen to anyone Ecc 9:7
Pls correct me if I'm wrong, I only want to learn

African traditional Religion teaches love, trust and hard work. My grandma once told me that then in my village when she was a kid, that people leave their farm produce they want to sell in front of their house and go to farm. That if you want the product, you can take them and keep the money equivalent.
Things changed when the church came because people now have alternative god that they believe forgives them when they do wrong without remorse.

1Jn 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
1Jn 4:2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
1Jn 4:3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
