From the tail end of 2017 straightforward to 2018, Shaku shaku vibe became a hot cake in the Nigerian music industry.

Not just because of the unique dance step that came with it, but also the huge acceptance the vibe got from the street.

At a point, many Nigerian artistes were struggling to make their own shaku shaku song just to make wave from the trend. Obviously, it seems the street has had enough.

Here Are Top 5 Songs Inspired By Shaku Shaku Vibe;

1. Idowest – Omo Shepeteri


This is one of the songs that popularized shaku shaku vibe in Nigeria.

“Omo Shepeteri” became a street anthem in 2017 with Dammykrane and Slimcase assisting Idowest on the song.



2. DJ Enimoney – Diet


This song dropped at a time most Nigerians noticed the dopeness of shaku-shaku vibe.

DJ Enimoney who is the rightful owner of the song did a perfect job choosing Slimcase, Reminisce and Tiwa Savage to work with on the song.

No other set of artistes would have done it better. With Mavin First Lady, Tiwa Savage on the song, Diet came out as a perfect combination of porch and street shaku-shaku lyrics.



3. Reminisce – Problem




It is so obvious that the LRR boss was inspired by the trending shaku-shaku vibe on the song “Problem“.

From all his social media activities before the release of the song, Reminisce made it know that Nigeria’s music Industry trend has change “Tempo” again from slow “Pon Pon” beat to uptempo shaku shaku sound.

“Pon Pon le n se tele but tempo change Eti ni problem”

Well, it is still not clear, who has problem between ‘Pon Pon’ artistes and ‘Shaku Shaku’ artistes.



4. Olamide – Science Student



“Science Student” was first 2018 song and first 2018 hit for Olamide. The song almost swept other buzzing shaku-shaku songs off their feet to the extent that the YBNL boss began to seem like the real pioneer of Shaku-shaku sound.

In the real sense, the song was inspired by the Shaku-shaku songs by fast-rising singers which were already making the wave. As a matter of fact, Olamide was the first celebrity artiste to do a shaku-shaku inspired song.



5. Mr Real – Legbegbe


As inspired by the Kleptomania story of Seun Egbegbe, Mr. Realreleased “Legbegbe” towards mid-2017 with a shaku-shaku beat.

The iPhone theft case of Seun Egbegbe gave the song more attention and buzz.
