If Soyinka were the NECON chairman instead of Nwosu in 1993, all these controversies might not have happened. Nwosu chickened out when he should have defied all odds and spake the truth. He should have gone to Abuja to spit at their faces; he chickened out again. How pusillanimous!

However, Gani would have been disappointed in his family accepting that award. He would have rejected it. Certainly not from Buhari "a repented democrat" who still eulogise Abacha (the fourth most corrupt leader in history). So, Soyinka has asked the big question.
