Abiola used his massive wealth, his concord newspapers and his links with Northern oligarchs to prevent Awolowo from becoming President.
History suggests Awolowo is greater but revisionist and those benefiting from recent propaganda would rather its Abiola.

MKO Abiola ran for the presidency in 1993, for which the election results were annulled by the preceding military president Ibrahim Babangida because of allegations that they were corrupt and unfair.[5] He was awarded the GCFR posthumously on 6th June, 2018 by President Muhammadu Buhari and Nigeria's democracy day was changed to June 12.[6][7]

One won a Presidential Election, the other was just local champion who couldn't even win his region but resorted to his now infamous cross carpeting antics.

One was Principal to an Aboki in an election, the other one was just boy-boy to another aboki.
