The Taycan, pronounced "Tie-kahn" which means lively young horse( or spirited young horse) in Eurasian , comes from the black horse on the Stuttgart coat of arms and Porsche emblem. Volkswagen owned Porsche said “Our new electric sports car is strong and dependable; it’s a vehicle that can consistently cover long distances and that epitomizes freedom".   The 600 horsepower Taycan (447 kilowatts) can reach 62 miles per hour (100 kilometers per hour) in less than 3.5 seconds. Taycan will also cover over 300 miles on a single charge. A 800 volts charger will take the battery pack from flat to 80 per cent charge in fifteen minutes .
