Thunder stroke so hard to an extend of retrieving the body of a man from the graves. 

The incident happened in Bogetaorio village, Iranda location, Mosocho Kitutu Chache South Kisii County on Monday.

It is alleged the deceased identified as Job died under unclear circumstances and he was buried last week on Friday. 

“It is a great shock that thunder exhumed the body from the grave. We had to call residents who helped us to bury the deceased a fresh,” said a family member identified as Michaela Oremo. 

Oremo said Job was found dead in his house in what was suspected to be witchcraft.

Area pastor Jared Manyega who was called by the family members said the deceased died while angry with members of his family. 

“We have never witnessed such an incident before where thunder can strike and exhume a body.It is time they ask the Lord to help them," he said. 

The pastor prayed before the body was re-buried again in an incident that has left residents shocked.  

Elders in the area led by Tinega Ondigo said traditional sacrifices must be done to ensure the man’s soul rests in peace.

"This is the first time this has happened in Kisii, we need the family to hold a traditional sacrifice for their benefit and avoid similar issues," he said.
