The peace of Bwari LGA, Abuja was once again threatened on saturday as a result of territorial conflict between the Hausas and the indigenous Gbagyis.

The Emir who was accused of importing armed ‘Hausa boys’ from Kano, paraded with them on horses as part of the sallah celebrations, was blocked by the Gbagyis from passing through their Esu palace

According to an eye witness, simply identified as Ezema, the Hausas said the only recognized authority is the Emir, while the Gbagyis also said they only recognize the Esu of Bwari

” The Emirs of the Hausas were parading the town when Gbagyi people blocked them from passing through the Esu palace, The army is patrolling the city, movement is restricted and there will likely be another curfew”

6 months ago, precisely on 25th December Bwari experienced a crisis situation which claimed lives and properties worth millions of naira. The market was razed and the people are still recovering from it.
