How many pieces is Local turkey = ₦2,600. Is this price per 1 or per cartoon. Also how many is in a cartoon. Does this price include delivery?. I'm a newbie in this. I'm planning to start a turkey farm, hence the questions. |

Let us talk about feeding of birds: In poultry business, we have meat and egg production birds. Meat production : they are birds we raise for slaughter like broiler, cockerel and male noiler, the only way to get quick result on them to feed them both day and night with good feeds. Broiler birds will be ready for slaughter between 6-9weeks, if they are fed both day and night with good feeds. Also cockerel is 5 months base on good feeding both day and night. Egg production: these birds that lay eggs either for consumption or hatching. Good antibiotic drug to startup brooding is any antibiotic drug that contain enrofloxacin like kenflox, enrosol, kachflox, ciprotril, enrocare etc Good finished feeds for poultry birds are NEW HOPE, BREEDWELL, ULTIMA AND HENDRIX. Note: NEW HOPE and BREEDWELL are good meat and egg productions Some group members adviced hybrid is good for egg production and HI-PRO is good for broiler meat production

Let's talk about CORYZA CORYZA is caused by heat, lack of ventilation and wet litters. Let us talk about those 3 causes of CORYZA: Heat : the height of the pen house must be high to avoid heat to act directly our birds. Congestion of birds in a pen house will generate excess heat and it is advisable not over stock in each pen house. Lack of ventilation : 4 sides of the pen house must be opened for fresh air to go in and out, the air will blow off the heat and also resist the litters to get wet easily Wet litters : It is good to pack the litters of our birds at time due, we should it to get wet before packing and leaving to get wet will trigger the disease we called CORYZA.
