Seriously i don't understand why we are still grouped under Mtv Africa. There are alot of countries with their own version of Mtv. I just don't like how we are still under Mtv Africa,i mean we have alot of Artists even if some are whack! |

@Milkano and tosinanded i think what you should say is we shouldn't even be grouped under Mtv Africa. Do you know how many countries Mtv runs in And as leading in Africa i think we should have our own. I watch Nigezie nd Soundcity. |

Re: Why Don't We Have Mtv Nigeria? by Ruq: 2:59pm On Jun 08, 2010 |
You think i don't know all that? Even with all the piracy. Its still Africa's biggest market not because of quality but because of Population. I agree there are better african countries but they still prefer Nigeria. Since i don't know who's leading please tell me? |

considering the fact that MTV found it's way to Africa only 5 years ago. it would be a lil presumptive asking for our own MTV. 'sides, the MTV Africa is dominated with Naija music influence (other African Countries must be green with envy ). and as someone posted, we have soundcity on dstv, nigezie on hitv. what else are we asking for? |
Re: Why Don't We Have Mtv Nigeria? by Ruq: 10:15pm On Jun 08, 2010 |
Yeah i know we have soundcity on dstv nd nigezie on hitv. But when you see countries who rarely have musicians have their own it gets me hype. See countries like Norway,Columbia, and some others have theirs. And we still being grouped under Africa. Its sort of degrading! |

@ Ruq, Do you think if it was a financially viable option for MTV, they wouldnt have done it?? The fact that Nigeria, in your words are 'biggest' music market in Africa is not enough to make that happpen. Little things like infrastructure, security et al, matters. We dont need MTV Nigeria to boost your ego. Besides even if they do have MTV Nigeria, some peeps here will still want MTV their village, etc. |
