I hope so too. Mikel's main role in that midfield is to coordinate and say.... Ndidi, stay here, you, mark that one, do this, do that. His experience really helped in coordinating the midfield against Croatia. I couldn't even believe that our midfielders played better than their midfielders combined. That was why they started floating the ball over the midfield and using their height advantage hoping someone will knock it down for another to shoot. They couldn't perforate our midfield and that's a very good thumbs up.


The problem we also have is that, Moses just stayed on the wings without going towards the box. The fact that you are a RF does not mean that that is where you will stay all the time. Iwobi was played as a winger too which is a no no. He is better as an 8 behind Ighalo. Ihenacho is another super supporting striker. He has killer passes and can shoot well. I wish there can be space for Ihenacho and Iwobi at the same time but this seems impossible.
