Nigeria is a country where anybody can enter. Our borders are porous. There are about 1,500 illegal entry points. And the government spend huge amount on security yearly without doing anything about the free influx of foreigners. We don't really have a government that is for the people. 1 Like |

Blue3k: Yeah..still waiting for proof. Where is ISIS? where are their training camps? How did ISIS fighters from Syria and th Magreb manage to evade detection by eight Reaper drone bases, spy satellites, reconnaissance aircrafts, Nigerian surveillance aircrafts, drones, reconnaissance units....6,000 French nd American troops.....and gain entry into Nigeria en mass to make any strategic difference? I mean cmon really? Still no hard evidence. Just an excuse to extend the war against ISIS to Nigeria's domain and make the Nigerian military look stupid and incompetent...you guys are doing a terrific job aiding their propaganda. Keep it up guys. Well done. |

SSGN: You talk like they have shirts that say im hey Im isis. They blend in with all the other herdsmen that cross through border daily. The same way thousands of migrants get into Europe. The fact they didnt simply we currentky have no proof ISIS is present in nigeria. The US isnt coming into Nigeria. Theres no geopolitical interest fir them. They didnt care t jump into boko haram conflict. |

Blue3k: As much as i have great respect for your analytical pedigree, but cmon...blend with the population? With the vast array of surveillance infrastructure available to not just Nigeria but virtually every country in the Lake Chgad basin, there must be something tangible to show to at least suggest that ISIS may have a presence in Nigeria..satellites, drones, field intelligence, intercepted communications.....thyere must be something. The Nigerian government came out yesterday to refute the claims, yet Nigerians are still falling for Western propaganda. America is bringing its war on terror right on our very own backyard. If truly ISIS has a presence in Nigeria, then the U.S must have an incredible amount of foresight to construct six drone bases in the space of three years. If ISIS has a presence here then the Americans have the right by default to target ISIS targets in Nigeria. This lumps Nigeria in the league of Pakistan, A-STAN where the U.S unilaterally carry out drone strikes. Try do some research on the effect of drone strikes in Pakistan, how many civilians killed, hospital destroyed, homes blown to bits... lots of mistaken targets too. Do you know the implication of having the worlds superpowers...not one but two on our very own backyard. We have effectively lost our sovereignty. The government have demanded for proof. There must be satellite photos, or intercepted communications, or something to show ISIS has a presence here. So far none. |

Blue3k: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wRuqMpHhX7A Same way they dont need boots on the ground in Pakistan or wherever they conduct drone strikes. The day American drones start carrying out targeted strikes against ISIS in Nigeria...and there is of course nothing we can do to stop them. What next? Nigerians in the northeast or wherever Boko Haram is are equally at risk of getting blown to bits by an errant bomb, or as in the case with Lebanon and Iraq, deliberately using civilians as shield. Nigerians dont know what real independence is until its lost. Weve grown accustomed to being the regional hegemony we really have no conception of what its like to be at the mercy of a superpower, completely helpless to stop them. Sad thing is soon i will be proven right. |

Obama claims US drones strikes have killed up to 116 civilians https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2016/jul/01/obama-drones-strikes-civilian-deaths Nearly 90 Percent Of People Killed In Recent Drone Strikes Were Not The Target https://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/civilian-deaths-drone-strikes_us_561fafe2e4b028dd7ea6c4ff Pakistan demands compensation for victims of drone strikes http://www.arabnews.com/node/1211636/world %100 violation of a nations sovereignty all in the name of America's war on terror. That's Pakistan..a democracy. Here there are between six to bases..more under construction. Each costing $!00 million apeace, and you say the U.S has no interest? Nigeria is the only democracy in this theater, the three other players are autocrats and dictators. Go figure. |
