The Nigerian government and politicians have been called by Nigerian singer Patoranking, who expressed his frustration over their inability to fulfill their promise of steady electricity.
According to Patoranking, he has been hearing ‘una get light, light dey, nepa just take light’ for the past 28 years. His tweet reads;

Patoranking my brother, this is Nigeria where nothing works. And the people you are calling won't even listen because they are deaf, dumb and insensitive to the plight of the poor masses.

Very few, I mean very few Nigerian musicians sing against the government of the day. Must musical activism die with FELA? What the phuck is really going on?

Stupid fellow

The last time I checked, your career has no base so why calling out Federal government and politicians on twitter so that everyone will know what we are facing.

Is there no better ways to sort this out?

Is not a must that federal government will do everything for us.

This is a money making opportunity! We should see opportunity in this rather than circumstance.

My own is that the Nigeria government should create jobs, I'm tired of being unemployed. Power supply is the least of my problems now.

A very thoughtful question by Pato. After almost 60 years of independence, Nigeria cannot provide constant electricity to her citizens.

Pathetic is an understatement.
