And people still ask who they will vote for in 2019. I always give them the same answer, vote against buhari. It doesn't matter the party, whether pdp or sdp or nrc. Nobody else with be as bad as buhari. This buhari has failed in all aspects.

Yet the idiot was saying;“More than 60 per cent of the population is below 30, a lot of them haven’t been to school and they are claiming that Nigeria is an oil producing country, therefore, they should sit and do nothing, and get housing, healthcare, education free,”
please don't quote the old man because anytime I see those words, I feel like beating the sh*t outta someone.

That all being said, it is important to remember that these are forecasts. Actual outcomes may be different, either because the underlying data are adjusted, or because actual incomes rise less or more. However, if we use the latest available datasets and apply the best forecasting methods, we can predict that under a base-case scenario the speed of global poverty reduction will slow down markedly three years from now.

Forecasts? They are giving you facts: That there are 73 million Nigerians living in extreme poverty right now. And that this number has surpassed India's ( Nigeria's population 280m versus India's 1 billion). And that global poverty is falling but Africa's own is rising, especially Nigeria's.

I don't accept this calculation. I think it's too "textbookish".

The problem in Nigeria is that the very low Human Development Index in the core conservative Muslim states in the North where education is frowned at drags the country very low. Imagine a state like Sokoto having a literacy rate of 10%?

If lending rates can be brought down to single digits, the economy will zoom.

All sectors, especially the industrial sector will be able to contribute maximally to the growth of the country.

Growth rates can easily touch 8% or more which will are the transformative growth rates that can turn a Third world country into a developed one in a generation.

Raskasal:
Capital lie. Are they saying Nigeria is poorer than Zambia, Somalia, Benin, Tanzania and the likes, Nepal, Tahiti and the likes? Hell no. I know Nigeria is poverty striken but not on the scale of no one. Different organizations releasing different result to make us feel they exist. I totally disagree.
Competing with the bottom of the barrel instead of the top, typical of the mindset of the perpetually poor.
The report compared numbers. The countries you mentioned don't have even half the population of Nigeria.

I quite agree with you. But I'ld love to see where those countries ranked for Nigeria to have ranked number 1 or is that they were not recognized?
