Words of Comfort: Sodom's sin.

Some claim that Sodom was judged because of their "inhospitality." However, the Bible is clear that Sodom was given over to homosexuality. The Scriptures say that Lot was "oppressed by the sensual conduct of unprincipled men"--people who "indulge the flesh in its corrupt desires and despise authority" (2 Peter 2:7-10). Jude 1:7 warns "Sodom and Gomorrah…having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire."

What was Sodom's sin?
