A 14 year old boy, Prince Odum, a native of Amuzukwu Ibeku Umuahia was burnt by his mother today for stealing MP3 from their neighbour's house. The victim was taken to Nigeria Police Medical Services, at Bende Road Umuahia by their neighbours who rescued him.
The teenager informed the police that his mother tied his hands, poured kerosene on him before setting him ablaze. The boy also said his mother always beat him with firewood every time he does something wrong. Prince Odum later pleaded with the police to forgive his mother and not send her to prison, accepting responsibility for what happened.
He was later referred to the Federal Medical Centre, Umuahia.
