A Nigerian lady, Adeotan Oresajo, has died one month after she got married to her husband, Tope Oresajo.

Tope and Adeotan met while she was at the Wesley University of Science and Technology, Ondo state and dated for eight years. They got married on May 26th with Adeotan heavily pregnant. They earnestly waited for the birth of their first child.

On May 24th, Adeotan slumped at their home in Ikeja GRA and was rushed to the hospital where she died. Doctors said she had high Blood pressure. She died with her six months pregnancy.

May her soul rest in peace, Amen.

Pregnancy induced hypertension that wasn't monitored and then getting her killed? Even my mum whose BP occasionally rise over the years is still alive.

HBP in pregnancy is not like in a normal hypertensive individual.It is more aggressive with fatal consequences.
It is such that if the BP continues to rise,the solution to it is to deliver the baby at that time.
It causes a condition called eclampsia.

Sad. She likely died of undiagnosed or untreated pre-clampsia/eclampsia.

An unfortunate result of lack of proper pre-natal care in this case.

Totally treatable condition.
