Cindy Ogbuefi Foundation was Privileged to visit yesterday been 26th day of June 2018, Children on the streets of Anambra, Awka South Local Government Area.

Through this #Project Feed a Child Today which was a sensitization program for alleviating hunger/poverty by adopting Education Gateway. It was obtained that about 10.5 million children are out of school in Nigeria as at December 2017, We found out that many child are engaged in Child Labour in my local community (images inclusive). Some parents gave some reasons why they engaged their children in such act and most of this reasons came as a result of them not even having access to the literate community at their young age, they unintentionally expressed their ignorance on the value of Education in our present day society. Some took their Children to private Schools but yet they keep sending their wards back home because of debts. Meanwhile, Primary Education in Anambra State Government Schools are Free.

This is to tell you that whatsoever we equip our present generations with today has a multiplier effect on the generations to come.

Today the Social Investment Program by the Federal Government endeavors to feed children in the primary education system everyday in Anambra State government, why not enrole these children and let them get fed but above all obtain the basic thing which is Education?

Education is vital to meeting the Sustainable Development Goals 2030.
The SDGs are interdependent but achieving the Education goal (SDG 4) will have a trans-formative effect on other goals.

Cindy Ogbuefi Foundation advocates high-quality, child friendly basic education for all, with emphasis on gender equality.

Educating girls in particular has a multiplier effect. Educated Girls are more likely to marry later and have fewer children, who in turn will be more likely to survive and to be better nourished and educated. Educated women are more productive at home and better paid in the work place and more able to participate in social, economic and political decision making.

#THANK GOD FOR THE SUCCESS OF THIS PROJECT!
#ALL THANKS TO THE SPONSORS OF THIS PROJECT!
#THANK YOU SO MUCH TEAM CINDY FOR MAKING THIS PROJECT HAPPEN. YOU GUYS ROCK BIG TIME.

John Dewey once said that Education is not the preparation for life, rather Education is life itself.

Malcolm S. Forbes also said that Education replaces an empty mind with an open one.
