MAN STABS TWO PRIMARY SCHOOLCHILDREN TO DEATH
A man armed with a knife attacked students at the entrance to a primary school in Shanghai’s central Xuhui district on Thursday, killing two of the children, police said.

The 29-year-old man attacked three male students and one female parent with a vegetable knife around 11:30 am (0330 GMT), the Xuhui branch of the Shanghai police said on its official Weibo account.
The victims were rushed to hospital but two of the students died, it said, adding that the third student and the parent were not in a life-threatening condition.

FG APPROVES N133M FOR ACQUISITION OF CBT FACILITY TO CHECK LEAKAGES
President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday approved a memo for the acquisition of Computer Based Test (CBT) facility at a cost of N133 million.

The approval followed complaints by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) that the entry-level examinations conducted annually by the agency are sometimes compromised.

Minister of Education Adamu Adamu presented the memo for approval at Federal Executive Council, FEC, where he noted that the idea of acquiring the facility was to enable the agency take full control of the entire examination process.

OAU MANAGEMENT REINSTATE SUSPENDED STUDENTS
The management of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile Ife, has reinstated three of the students who were suspended for various acts of misconduct.

The students were reinstated by the Vice Chancellor of the University, Eyitope Ogunbodede, on Friday during a brief meeting between the University management and the suspended students.

Pardoning the students, Ogunbodede urged them to portray a good image as an ambassador of the university.

FEMALE STUDENT, LOVER FOUND DEAD IN HOSTEL ROOM
A Final year Theatre Arts student of Imo State University has been found dead in her hostel room.

According to report, the student identified as Blessing Amam was found dead alongside her lover Emeka in her hostel room in Umugagu-Mbieri, Mbaitoli Local Government area of the state.

The duo was found dead on Monday, June 24, 2018.
