Laugh At My Pain by LadyHeaven(f): 12:20am On Jun 29, 2018 |
Yesterday i cried...no scratch that i wept for my country, I am sad, angry, confused and tired. Nothing seems to work, pain everywhere, from Ipob unjust treatments - Herdsmen killings - a president who cares less - brainwashed citizens - boko haram - chibok girls - Leah's case - shitte muslims - yahoo plus - rituals - rape cases - muric stupidity - road accidents - container crushing people and now this terrible tanker fire (have i left anything out?) and we are powerless as a people, is it not who has eaten belly full that has the strength to argue? We talk, protest, and talk yet nothing happens. Why. I graduated summa cum laude, served my country wholeheartedly and trust me when i say Life hasn't been as i dreamt it would be, I still fly bus almost every day and seeing those people burnt beyond recognition, probably without any idea that their time would be up struck a chord and i know most people can relate, they didn't deserve to die for something that could have been avoided, nobody deserves to go out like that to be stuck and watch oneself roast to death. All our viable brains are running away, i say running because what do you call a doctor who finished school years ago and can't find even a FMC for residency, what do you say to an Engineer who now sells shoes at yaba after failing to get a job, what do you say to an accountant who teaches in a secondary school and gets paid #15500 a month? I think it's high time i cast aside my fears and think about my future, my peace, my sanity, my hope and my unborn children we deserve better, i know running away won't solve the problem, I know it's not always greener on the other side, but with hard work, perseverance, talent and God one can at least be 70% sure of been successful in their own right, it's sad our leaders don't care not even a tiney tiny bit, it's every man for himself", death means nothing in this country anymore, even the western world careless, we on our own so May the souls of the faithful departed through Gods mercy rest in perfect peace and May His perpetual light which shines like a 100 stars shine upon them. May He console their families and may there be peace in the land. There was once a country...am out 1 Like 2 Shares

So sorry dear, i don't write much on Nl but this right here touched me real deep, i was once in your position, torn between trying to make it work in Nigeria and starting all over again elsewhere, it wasn't an easy choice but i am so so glad that i took the leap of faith. Don't be scared to try new things, God has got your back. |

@Ladyheaven ..Lol@ ipob unjust treatment. You forgot to mention the con men of God and their violence incitement. Your great party left the rotten system by not having a single plan for the nation other than looting the treasury dry... Nigerians have no option than to continue living with it until PMB and the progressive party reconfigure the badly affected system. 1 Like |
