Real Madrid have slammed reports they have submitted a World record £275m offer for Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar Jr.

The Spanish Giant has been linked with a move for Neymar as a likely replacement for out of form Karim Benzema.

Spanish TV station TVE claimed that a £275m offer had been tabled for Neymar.

The report also claimed that the Brazil ace would be given a seven-year contract deal worth £40m.

But Real Madrid have now denied this reports with an official statement.

A statement read: “After the information broadcast tonight by TVE about a supposed offer from Real Madrid to PSG and to the player Neymar, Real Madrid CF states that said information is absolutely false.

“Real Madrid has not made any type of offer to PSG nor the player.

“To Real Madrid it is surprising that the Spanish public broadcaster has been able to broadcast absolutely false information without anybody at the channel having made contact with anyone to confirm the supposed information that is easily proven false.”

Neymar is currently on international duties with Brazil at the 2018 World Cup and face Belgium next in the quarter-finals on Friday.
