The title of Akpa' K'Idoma was confered on Dr. Marcel Ofomata on Saturday 30th June, 2018 at the Och'Idoma Palace, Otukpo, Benue state, by the Och' Idoma IV, His Royal Majesty, Agabaidu (Dr) Ellias Ikoyi Obekpa, CON, LL.D, FCITN.

He is the first ever Igbo citizen to be confered with this prestigious Chieftaincy Title In Idoma Kingdom - AKPA' K'IDOMA.

His conferment with this title offers him a voice and a position in the Idoma Royal Council, and makes him the bridge that connects Idoma Kingdom to the outside world. With this title, the Igbo Community resident in Idoma Kingdom and Benue State at large, now have a sense of belonging which in Dr. Ofomata's opinion, will obviously breed more mutually beneficial working relationship in all ramifications.
