Trash talk. The question you failed to address in your paid job to defend blindly are :
1.Did she apply for exemption and if no when and where did she serve with verifiable evidence to back it up.
2. If affirmative, was she eligible to apply for exemption?
3. Is her name on the exemption register for her batch?
I hate it when people defend blindly and foolishly too.

God
Why are some people so st.upid and fool.ish?
How did you know that PT have goofed?
Why have the person involved in the scandal still silent? She is waiting for her godfather governor and minister boyfriend will help sweep it under the carpet bah.
Are you her media aid?
How long will it take NYSC to confirm if the allegations are true or false?
Why are you crying more than the bereaved?
PT set their findings straight, the alleged kept quit because she may have been busted, waiting for underground cover works to be done and here you are washing your linens in public in the name of defense just for #15, 000.
Have you no shame at all?
Now i truly know that COMMON SENSE IS NOT COMMON

You must think everyone on this platform is stupid. Please refund whatever you charged for this flimsy article and apologize for crimes against humanity. What Premium Times did ahould be applauded by all, because they've exposed the fraudulent nature of the APC government and their sympathizers. I am really enjoying the show as you and the BMC scramble to react to this time bomb they dropped on your self-righteous faces

It has everything to do with those before her. If they were not required or didn't have it, then hers should not be made an issue unless it's a true hatchet job.

You all will be taken serious if you can find other public figures that were also foreign students with the same problem.

I did my NYSC, spent my one year in the villages of Edo state passing knowledge to younger ones, hoping that allawi go come or that Oshiomhole will change his mind and add extra to us for survival, we did this to obey that Clarion call, yet one mofo will skip the assignment, come back to Nigeria, forge the certificate and start living off the government as if she's born differently. And some God-forsaken folks will come and be writing half backed nonsense trying to defend it.

I paid my dues, she didn't and so doesn't deserve any accolades.

Premium Times and the Hatchet Job Against Kemi Adeosun

Once again poor and shoddy investigative journalism appears to be winning. This time the victim is Kemi Adeosun, Minister of Finance.

Premium Times a few days ago ‘broke’ news alleging that Mrs Adeosun presented a forged NYSC exemption certificate. The main evidence they had was that the certificate was signed by an NYSC DG who was no longer in office as at the date on the exemption certificate.

While it is true that the late Brigadier General Yusuf Bomoi left the NYSC in January 2009, we now know that several certificates issued after that date in 2009 still bore his signature.

Several people on social media have since shared photos of their certificates issued after January 2009 (when the late Brigadier General Yusuf Bomoi) handed over to Brigadier-General M.I. Tsiga as DG of the NYSC. Are all these certificates fake or forged as well?

The DG of the NYSC does not ‘hand-sign’ every certificate by himself, just as the CBN Governor does not physically sign every currency note. No human being can do that. The certificates are printed in bulk in advance, and then filled out with the name of the recipient and other details. Up till after Gen Bomoi left the NYSC certificates bearing his signature were being genuinely issued.

The truth, sadly, is that Premium Times has goofed again. This is not the first time they are publishing falsehood about Mrs Adeosun, falsehood for which they have never apologized, even when proved wrong. They keep allowing themselves to be used as a tool in the hands of people who want to undermine Mrs Adeosun and her work as Finance Minister.

As Mrs Adeosun’s predecessor as Finance Minister, Ngozi Okonjo Iweala wrote in her new book, ‘FIGHTING CORRUPTION IS DANGEROUS’, powerful and corrupt vested interests not only kidnapped her mother, but also made plans to physically hurt the Minister. “They asked my brother to tell me to announce on national television and radio that I was resigning from my job as Finance Minister and leaving the country.” Another time some powerful people humiliated her at the State House when she came visiting with the IMF President.

Now we are witnessing the same thing, and the victim this time is Mrs Kemi Adeosun. Corruption is fighting back, and Premium Times and other newspapers are allowing themselves to be used as tools, sadly.

Even when the NYSC issued a statement on the matter, acknowledging that the Minister indeed properly applied for an exemption, Premium Times chose a false and sensational and most unprofessional headline to report the news, alleging that the NYSC had ‘disowned’ the Minister, when what the NYSC did was the complete opposite of disowning her.

Let us avoid the rush to judgement. Mrs Adeosun is the victim of powerful enemies whose toes she has stepped upon in the battle to redeem Nigeria’s finances from the hands of ghost workers, tax evaders and other financial criminals. She will overcome, as she has always done.

Wonderful write up. But do you think can't do what the Twitter dude did? How sure are you the account wasn't one of her supporters that created one random account to do just that?

NYSC didn't deny she applied, however, had denied issuing such certificate! That's all that matters.

My worry now is who's behind this...is or are they trying a plot against a south western appointee or it's sincerely propagated?

There's a rule, if you finish your first degree before 30, you're to do the MANDATORY NYSC program, above 30, you're to apply for exemption.
It's left for NYSC to CERTIFY you in both categories.

If Kemi finished her first degree before 30, she's bound by duty and NATIONAL SERVICE to come back and serve her country for one year.
We that served this nation are not fools. We probably would have made better use of our one year than spend it on NYSC.

Do you want to compare the level of education of both tribes? When most of them were simply coerced to vote on the promise of two raps of tuwo. Don't be an embodiment of stupidity my dear. Is this how a country would move even an inch forward by covering illegalities on the basis of tribalism? Little wonder you blindly support corruption ridden entities, parading themselves as leaders, everyday of your life even when you aren't benefiting a dime any of them directly.

I honestly want us all to go our separate ways. If this is the mentality the Igbos and Hausa would build their nations upon, we can at best wish them luck.

There are thousands of rules you don't follow in that Nigeria but that's not the issue.

It was yet another convincing win today for LordTosan, one of the finest punters in Nigeria. The Green punter recorded an historical 10 winning streak in just 3 days making him the punter with the fastest and longest winning streak on Nairaland so far.

Speaking with some of his customers today, LordTosan reiterated the fact that he is not a scammer who promises fixed matches but predict games like every sincere punter. He said he has for long been playing and winning his game alone privately. But decided to come public after his friends commented on his predicting prowess. He said his coming commercial was borne out of his desire to help bettors recover their loses and to help them enjoy a good betting experience while making extra cash through affordable fees for his services. Like he always says "Ashawo dey charge even though she dey enjoy the prick too"

He however disclaimed the rumour that he is infallible, stating that his games are not laced with black magic but rather a product of thought of careful observation. He recalled he has lost in the past and have lost once or twice recently. He ended by saying

The OP is just as bad as premium times....actually he is worse.

Kemi applied for exemption through the official channels, she may not be eligible but it is not a crime to apply. Liability falls on NYSC for issuing an exemption to someone who does not meet the criteria for exemption. Like I have said many times on this forum, that is not kemi's business. it is the job of NYSC to reject her application.

The problem with Kemi is twofold and those who are trying to bring her down should put forward the correct argument which is as follows.

1. She worked as a managing director frrom 2000-2009 WITHOUT an exemption, which in itself is illegal..That is the only thing which we know for sure as a crime on her part.

2. Since her current exemption is clearly an oversight or a mistake by NYSC (lets give NYSC the benefit of doubt), NYSC should therefore revoke the certificate immediately.

3. upon revocation of said certificate, she clearly is not qualified to be a finance minister or to hold any public office in Nigeria and should therefore resign immediately.

End of story!!

Lets stop wasting our energies on emotive language like forged because there is no proof, this is why EFCC make noise and never secure convictions. As I said NYSC have acknowledged she applied and have not come out to say they didnt issue a certificate and i doubt they will. To say she forged a cert is moronic based on available info, lets deal in facts please, what is fact is that she has no basis for an exemption and so her certificate should be revoked and consequently she must resign because she is not qualified to be a minister.
