Ear infection is a common infection in humans, it occurs when a microbe infects parts of the ear and the inflammation and buildup of fluids in the ears lead to severe pain. It can be chronic or acute and if left untreated, it can cause permanent damage and hearing loss to an individual.


Ear infections are more common in children than in adults and it clears on its own in most cases because it is most times minor. It is more serious in adults and it can be a sign of an underlying health problem which can be serious.
