In this post, I’ll be enlisting the top 5 steps you can take to save a considerable amount of your computer’s battery and enjoy better usage. Most people have PCs nowadays, therefore it has become an important component of our daily life. The majority of us perform day-to-day activities on our PC. This includes jobs, doing assignments from school, making research, surfing the net and social media etc.

A laptop’s battery which powers it for a specific amount of time depending on the battery capacity and usage might begin to lose its strength if not properly used. At times, we might notice the battery isn’t as powerful as it used to be and we start to wonder what’s happening.

All of these can be prevented when you follow the right steps to take good care of your computer’s battery.

Without further ado, here are 5 tips to save computer battery life.

1. Always Dim The Light
Reducing the screen brightness to the barest minimum where you can see it is a very significant way of giving your battery life more durability. This will certainly reduce the payload on the battery and it'll make it last longer. On a plus note, it will also help to protect your eyes from harm due to excessive brightness.

2. Avoid Over Charging
This could be a myth to numerous people, but countless research have revealed that battery lifespan is reduced once it is overcharged. You should just charge moderately when it’s below 60%-70% and unplug as soon as it gets to 100%. Also, avoid charging every five minutes when it’s about 80%-90%.

3. Buy a Spare Battery
This is highly recommendable. Obtaining a spare battery will avail you the option to switch batteries whenever one is exhausted. It is imperative to note that leaving a dead battery in your PC is not a good thing to do. It can be avoided when you have an battery you can easily switch to when you have a totally low battery.
