Imo PDP: Appraising Ihedioha's Inclusive Engagement with the Grassroots.

The wonderful grassroots consultation approach of His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha CON, Imo PDP frontline governorship hopeful, aimed at engaging more closely, the local communities, as part of moves to mobilize his party and market his candidature has earned huge currency for his ambition.

There cannot be any genuine democratic practice both in a political party or in the society, without inclusive citizens participation which is the panacea for citizens education.

Participatory democracy, has been acknowledged as the path to achieving true democracy, helps to evolve a better society where trust, rule of law, law and order and civic responsibility thrive.

Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, unlike other aspirants, is proactively working hard to connect his vision and that of his party to the grassroots by cultivating the rural populace into participating in his #RebuildImo Ideology.

He has achieved this by deploying effective procedural mechanisms for party members to have their say, and perhaps, their way too.

For instance, the ongoing statewide, Ward to ward Consultations with the grassroots of his party, and inauguration of various Support Groups are already yielding positive results and highly commend by party members and political observers.

If he sustains these strategies, though very expensive, PDP will be the ultimate beneficiary as the party, could be coasting home to victory, ahead of the elections.
