A vote for Makarfi is a vote for Buhari ...What has Makarfi created in his life than apply for civil service work ... We need visionaries and not philosophers or bureaucrats for Nigeria ...Atiku has just been unfortunate in this country because of shallow information flow ... Nigerians must realise that Atiku has never been given any opportunity to show what he has to offer as per governance , the only opportunity he could have had back then was to be governor of Adamawa which never happened because he agrees to be Obasanjos caged VP a position where all his problems politically stemmed from ..OBJ never allowed Atiku show his governance potential as VP because he caged him well and made a paper VP but the little chance Atiku had to explore saw the emergence of the recruitment of a new breed technocrats into our polity all recruited directly by Atiku and the have been some of the best hands Nigerians have seen in governance today ( Ngozi Okonjo Iweala, El Rufai, Ribadu, Ezekwesili just to mention a few ..) ...Atiku has also proven himself to be a good and visionary Business man by all standards by running businesses successfully for decades now ... Makarfi has had 8 years to prove himself in Kaduna star as governor and I can't see any spectacular thing he has done there because till date Kaduna is just as mediocre and unispiriing as 90 percent of Nigerian states and Nigeria doesnt need another mediocre leader who will just come a and over see the sharing of Oil revenue at FAAC meetings but a visionary that can turn Nigeria towards the path of a vision that ensures consistent growth, innovation , peace and security ....
you are wise.

How To SPOT a new BMC moniker

They registered btw Jan and July 2018

90% or more of their posts are in Politics

They blame Jonathan govt for all our current problems

They speak of Buhari as if he is a god

They believe APC is doing a good job

They attack PDP daily yet when you tell them most of the pillars of APC came from PDP they ignore that inconvenient truth

They hate Igbos and Igbos

They support herdsmen(sometimes low key)

They support cattle colonies

They say that middle belt clashes are caused by enemies of Buhari or the farmers themselves.

They attack anyone that complains about Buhari.

They promote Islam above Christianity or other religions.

The latest is some even pretend to be Christians eg GoTv despite his earlier confession that he is a Yoruba muslim.

Here's one of the creatures below;

buhariguy:
Yes you are right, but is not easy to right the wrong of the past within 3yrs.
Buhari need extra 3 yrs to complete those project he had already started.

Buhari till 2023.

Everyone is pretending as if there isn't a christian agenda sponsored by CAN to do away with Buhari.

What they forgot is, whether Buhari wins or loses, a Muslim will be sworn in in 2019.

What is your point ??

Of course it's anti Muslim.

But the zealots are too blinded by there hate to even consider the outcome.

CAN has never hidden its disdain for PMB, starting from when he went against their son gej.

They tried all manner of religious propaganda to term him an extremist.

And since gej lost, he who gave out endless largesse to pastors, they swore vengeance.

I've never seen religious interest in politics as CAN is doing now, and they say Nigeria is secular

It could be antiMuslim but you are not providing evidence or making a rational argument.

How is anti Buhari the same as antiMuslim?

Honestly your argument lacks logic . Let us assume you are correct and CAN are biassed what has that got to do with secularity.

CAN is not the government ? They are set up to protect their interests just like any other group

Your contribution output is just emotional

Buhari is doing the best, which no one can do.

Buhari is a nationalist, he prefer to preserved the job of Nigerians than importation to kill our economy.

Three things I like about Atiku is his boldness, preparedness and vision to transform our economy unlike that Muslim extremist in Aso rock whose mission is to establish an Islamic caliphate and spill the blood of the Christians.

CAVEAT: This is my humble opinion after appraisal of the level of preparedness of all aspirants for the Presidency. It is without prejudice to the arrangement of Peoples Democratic Party and the 39 Coalition parties
God bless you for this enriching write up! You deserve some accolades bro

In the build up of the election of 1979 preparatory to the commencement of the second republic, Chief Obafemi Awolowo of Unity Party of Nigeria was clearly seen as the most prepared among other aspirants for the Presidency, his campaign was ideological based, his policies were clearly spelt out and he was banking strictly on popular votes of the masses instead of military establishment as at then. However, Alhaji Shehu Shagari, a retired school teacher and former minister was returned elected instead. Till date, Chief Awolowo is referred to the best President Nigeria never had.

In 1993, famous philanthropist, Chief MKO Abiola, the Presidential candidate of Social Democratic Party had a clearly defined manifesto, his proposed policies were topnotch and in him Nigerians saw hope for better future. He was eventually elected via popular vote in the presidential election but the military establishment thwarted the project. Nigerians were once again denied the chance of enjoying the prospects of the MKO's Presidency.

In 1999, Dr. Alex Ekweme was clearly the most prepared presidential aspirant in the Peoples Democratic Party, a political association that came into being with sole ideology of building bridges among citizens, forcing the military junta to the barracks and returning power to the people. However, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, upon his release from prison, was "gifted" the Presidential ticket to "appease" the southwest over the 1993 disappointment and travails of Chief MKO Abiola. Nigerians were again shortchanged optimal democratic dividends that would have been under Alex Ekweme.

In 2007, Alhaji Umaru Yar'adua (of blessed memory) was remotely uninterested in the Presidency but he was virtually dragged in by the powers that be as at then ahead of then Vice President Atiku Abubakar who happened to be the most prepared with clear manifesto, programs and vision.
Yaradua was christened "baba go slow" simply because he had to do his apprenticeship while staying on the job.

In 2010, Goodluck Jonathan was catapulted into power by providence after the death of Umaru Yar'adua. He was least prepared to be Vice President in 2007 and President as at then. Alhaji Atiku Abubakar was clearly the most prepared for the office aheaf of 2011 Presidential election judging by his manifesto and proposed programs but due to some ethnical consideration (appeasement of SouthSouth/minorities) and some other political factors, Jonathan got the nod. He developed his key program while on the job without luxury of time.

In 2014, then opposition APC delegates elected Muhammadu Buhari as flagbearer, a man whose age-long campaign has always been instituting Shari'a system across the country and fighting corruption BUT without any blueprint on economy, unity among citizens irrespective of tribe and political consideration, restructuring of the system etc even though his party captured some. Alhaji Atiku Abubakar then of APC had these clearly spelt out but Buhari was elected simply because he commanded some cult followership in the northern part of Nigeria. Buhari eventually won the 2015 presidential election but he came along with ethno-religious unrest, economy meltdown, herdsmen-farmers clashes, breakdown in nationhood etc. In fact, the man had to distance himself from some promises made by his own party, including restructuring.

Of the legion of credible leaders running for the Presidency in 2019 in the opposition, I am of the opinion that Alhaji Atiku Abubakar is the only aspirant that has displayed the highest commitment and serious preparedness for the job. He can be identified with blueprint/ideology to work with (with due respect to others). For instance, he's known as chief promoter of restructuring and has a very wide public acceptance in contrast of what he had in 2007 and 2011.

He's the aspirant that has gone beyond issuing tweets on social media and has been outlining his programs to the understanding of the public.

Less than seven (7) months to the presidential election and two (2) months to the presidential primary, Atiku appears to be the only aspirant with known campaign team and presidential campaign office and has been working in alliance with interest groups across the 36 states and diaspora.

Considering that there is no luxury of time to gamble, I am of the my opinion that being the most prepared presidential aspirant, Atiku should be given the nod by the Peoples Democratic Party, the 39 Coalition parties and Nigerians so that we can have for the first time a president that is well preparing to lead instead of using the traditional religious, ethnic or political bias.

Furthermore, with Seven (7) months to general election, it is needless to promote an aspirant that is yet to display this level of preparedness irrespective of our relationship with such aspirant. I believe everyone can play their part in the new government to further the aspirations of Nigeria citizens.

May God Bless Us All And Bless Nigeria

Re-Structuring only came to atiku's mouth of recent because it is a hot topic today. He is simply riding the waves.

That why I love pmb, he is very straight forward and tells you what he things. He could have used restructuring as his campaign promise since it is the hot topic today. But he is not, because he believes corruption to be the problem of Nigeria.

Besides, this so called restructuring become a hot topic after pdp lost the election.
Atiku have always be an apostle of restructuring since 1993! The North hated him because of his belief that Restructuring is the only way to make Nigeria work again! Buhari is a SCAM and he is never prepared for governance! He took Nigerians to the past and Atiku remain the only soul that can take Nigeria to the future!

The idea of being inexperience for a political position as many claim to be a reason to disquality some of these candidates viable for the presidential position is myopic to reasoning. Most of our political figures(god) we uphold started well inexperienced but we play ignorance to their early days in the system as if they were born experienced into the game. I am no totally a pro youthful candidate because experience is needed to operate in this ill infested system. 'Experience' yes not by the yards stick generally upheld by people being how long you have been able to survive in the system without tangible impact to the people of even your local government but your ability to input/contribute positively even when you arent the figure head. Most of these guys mentioned are just survivors to my opinion...Truly we need restructuring, security, infrastructures, and alot other things. Buhari doesnt seem to deliver that. Can Makarfi or Atiku?? My conclusion is that politics is too a lucrative business so it robs us of genuine leaders

Bros yes you may be correct that Atiku is prepared but how can we elect a President into office who is wanted for crimes in the US? If this man set foot on any country that has an extradition treaty with the US, he would simply be arrested. Do you want your head of state to be known as a wanted criminal? Abi, whatever happened to integrity and ethics from a leader?

TonyeBarcanista keeps on denting his reputation on this forum. He is no different from the man who will sing for you no matter who you are if you give him bread.

Here is a thread of his posted less than a year ago on why Atiku should never be elected.

We haven't forgotten how he changed alliance from APC to PDP a few months to last election.
It's all about his pocket. This man doesn't wish Nigeria well.

What a shame.

SalamRushdie:

Atiku has a negative history during his time in customs. And was a very active member during the early days of objs very corrupt government. Even though Nigeria has now descended to a new low, we do not want to ascend to the previous low. A man like sowore is the type of next GEN politicians Nigeria sorely needs now and not past politicians all with same dna. Problem is he is starting from scratch so no political structure.
