In an interaction with some youth today, I was close to tears when one them said he is ready to pay N500,000 to get a job with any government parastatal, jobs are being sold to young Nigerians each day or reserved for the children of "big men" in our country, while the children of nobodies are left on the street to hustle to survive at all cost by all means.

Our youth who are supposed to be the source of our national wealth are the ones who now have to buy government jobs or trek round the street in a single shirt and worn out shoes, while the children of the powerful men turn down job offers from choicest conglomerates.

The young men I met today have given up on the society, they don't see hope anywhere, they are devastated, they have been abandoned by the ruling class, they are disappointed that no one really cares for them, so they don't even want to invest their time, their mind or even their hopes in Nigeria.

My heart bleeds for every struggling youth of this nation, those who have spent their emotions, their expectations their hopes and everything but seem to have nothing to look up to anymore, it is time for us to know that we are our own last hope, we must come together to rejig our society, reconstruct the country for ourselves, it will definitely cost us pains, tears and sweat, but in the end our story shall pleasing to the ear, future generations shall be grateful, our story shall be strange to them because they won't experience what we are going through now.

A NEW NIGERIA that belongs to all of us is POSSIBLE.
