Senator Dino Melaye’s constituency projects meant for commissioning today, have been set ablaze by persons suspected to be arsonists. .

The projects include Government Girls Secondary School, Sarkin-Noma, in Lokoja; and LGEA Primary School, Lokogoma, also in Lokoja, Kogi State. While the project at Sarkin-Noma was burnt, that of LGEA had its louvers broken. .

Both projects were part of the projects located across the seven local governments in the state and had been slated for inauguration today.

Senator Melaye was said to be on his way to the inauguration when the news was broken to him and he was said to have been disappointed. He was also quoted to have vowed to still go ahead with the inauguration.

Students said they got to school on Wednesday morning to discover that the newly built block has been set on fire overnight.

Some suspected thugs had, on Tuesday, warned Melaye against visiting Kogi State, warning that he was not welcome for any reason. The thugs, in an unsigned statement on Tuesday, had said that since Dino had no respect for “our elders, you deserve no respect.”

this is one of the most ridiculous and unfortunate scenario that plays out when two political heavyweight are at war in a state. Just look at the height of this rubbish,All dis politician wey no won do anything before did at least something to improve lives of the next generation even though it's nothing compared to what they were supposed to do,just look ,it's devastating,all these thugs whose main problem is these moral discipline and education they were deprived of wants the next generation to 'be' as well.I still think we really need Revolution in this country to remove,and permanently demote all these crop of utterly useless politicians,we need a better country.There is this anger within me.#THIS IS NOT RIGHT or ain't u tired?
