Congressman Bimbo Daramola a.k.a #BimboEkiti or Bembe as fondly called by his admirers is a man greatly endowed with all the attributes, charisma add up with his glowing immense contributions to his constituents in Oye-Ikole Federal Constituency and other parts of Ekiti State which had up scaled his chances beyond anyone’s imagination despite patched up attempts by some disgruntled elements to change the narratives.

He has been involved in the party formation and administration for more than fourteen years. He had a chequered trajectory in the progressives fold till date, dutiful, faithful and a loyal member who has NEVER decamped, rather, noted for his spirited efforts at ensuring party survival.

He has had his hands in grassroots mobilization and partisan politicking which has found him fit to be elected into the National Assembly as a member of the Federal House of Representatives from 2011 to 2015.

Bembe’s sterling performance as a Congressman is an eloquent testimony to a greatly prepared mind with adorning intuitive creative capacity on the floors of the National Assembly. Indeed and to be specific, the first motion of the 7th assembly at the Federal House of Representatives titled “EMERGING THREATS TO INTERNAL SECURITY AND THE TO SET UP DEPARTMENT OF HOME SECURITY” put to paid the fact that he possess a deeper understanding of security issues that is obtainable in the country amidst the terror of incessant killings going on in some parts of the country cascading into the heavy casualities recorded with the Boko-Haram and Herdsmen crises.

What amazes me is that he had never abandoned his constituents at anytime whether on seat or when out of political seat that made rewrite history with landmark accomplishments as few of it is being explicitly enumerated below;

He had three major constituency empowerment programmes where a lot of constituents were touched across party divides titled;

where a lot of constituents were blessed with;

1. over 200 tricycles (Keke Marwa).

2. over 200 motorcycles, 66 vehicles, 100 sewing machines.

3. over 200 barbing and hairdressing tools for young entrepreneurs.

4. Personally financed purpose built and tastefully equipped 32 bed hospital named after his late mother, Joan Taiwo Daramola Memorial Hospital, Ire-Ekiti and handed over to the Ekiti State Government.

5. Sponsored intensive medical outreach where 1850 people were attended to.

6. Collected and distributed 2,050 FREE JAMB FORMS for 2,050 young Ekiti Sons and Girls under the “TEACH THEM HOW TO FISH” human development initiative of Bimbo Daramola (2017-2018).

7. Opened up rural road network for access to hinterland, people and goods for his constituents.

One vital attribute that cannot be taken away from him is also his penchant to severally assist AGED women and men which has displayed his depth of his inestimable love and care for them.

If that is commendable, wait for this one, he has a great compliment with contemporary touch of class in ICT skills operational in a techno-modern world we are now.

Congressman Bimbo Daramola is a master like friend, he mentored us to do what is right, his respect for brotherhood is incomparable, he picks all calls if not busy and returns missed calls on his openly distributed phone numbers, we eat the same food in the same plate, we eat the same food in the same place.

BEMBE IS HERE! LET EVERY……….. renditions at some of his several appearances in the social engagements of his followers has endeared him to all not to talk of the general chant; NITORI OJO OLA WA, O SE…….. which has made him an household name in Ekiti State.

Bimbo shares from the pains of the people and will always ensure he makes an impact on every lives encountered. Bimbo Daramola did not become a household name in Ekiti State and Nigeria as a whole but is as a result of his painstaking relationship management, reputation enhancement and continuous mission to build successor generations.
