President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday met behind closed doors with the Senate President, Bukola Saraki and some All Progressives Congress (APC) governors at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Saraki arrived the Presidential Villa at 4:18 p.m.

The governors at the meeting were – Ibikunle Amosun (Ogun), Atiku Bagudu (Kebbi), Abdulaziz Yari (Zamfara) and Aminu Bello Masari (Katsina).

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and the Ekiti State Governor-Elect, Kayode Fayemi, were also at the meeting.

Considering current political permutations, alignments going on across the country the meeting is likely convened in order to beg Saraki not to defect with his followers/R-APC from APC.

Has anyone observed that Bubu's failed persecution of Saraki has turned him to an overnight hero.

Saraki's indecision on APC is the reason why Bubu's APC still think they could stand a chance next year.

Let Saraki announce that he's decamping today and watch the likes of Dogara, Fatai Ahmed, Tambuwal run after him.
