JOB SUMMARY
Oversees rig maintenance, carries out diagnostic test and mechanical repair/routine maintenance of rig equipment and assets. Carry out scheduled routine/preventive maintenance of equipment/assets either at the base or site locations. Perform diagnostic tests and determine a course of action for damaged parts and systems Identify & request for spares needed for all such maintenance job.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Under general supervision, assists with the installation and commissioning of cementing equipment on offshore drilling rigs.

2. Assists with identification of materials required and creating project bill of materials.

3. Assists with materials and equipment preparation/packaging for mobilization to project site.

4. Required to maintain, inspect, diagnose and repair equipment as per specified procedures.

5. Perform preventive/predictive maintenance procedures on Halliburton equipment.

6. Performs inspections required by the company, and government entities.

7. Perform basic troubleshooting on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

8. Installs and/or replaces new or reconditioned repair parts

9. Hose manufacturing, testing and installation.

10. Tests and sets up equipment for proper operation.

11. Third party personnel supervision may be required on some assignments.

12. Performs own work and provides assistance to others as directed.

13. Requires workshop/yard, offshore and shipyard / quayside work.

14. Operates lifting devices

15. Requires understanding of assembly, hydraulic and pneumatic circuits/drawings/prints.

16. Must complete proper paperwork as assigned.

17. Performs other related duties as assigned

18. May be required to assist Installation Coordinator and carry out rig surveys.

19. Responsible for ensuring duties are performed in a safe, efficient, and effective manner.

20. Job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations.


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree / HND in petroleum/mechanical/chemical/process engineering or related engineering field, technical school certificate and 3 years’ experience in related fields or equivalent experience.
Basic computer skills
Good communication skills
Good writing skills
Ability to operate and function test industrial equipment
Provide assistance to locate and acquire parts
Rigging and lifting experience
Ability to use diagnostic equipment
