Less than 3km bridge cost 2.5billion.. Constructing a new form of 3rd main land bridge that is 11.8km across ocean might paralyse Nigeria economy. Nice one but yeye dey smell.

remember the naira is not what it use to be. 3 years ago, it will be about 1billion. still too costly though

Fashola making money, hand over fist. Three of the most lucrative & capital intensive departments of the economy in his clutches alone. . . . .

I wonder how much he will be allowed to wire ahead of him to heaven (or hell) when the good Lord decides his time is up grin

Good ... Imo River bridge (boundaries of Rivers & Abia state) needs a total and urgent attention before it gets to the worst stage, so as to avoid story that touch the heart.
That's a Fed road by the way.

I wasn't trained in that field but with little feedbacks I got from engineers, it showed the bridge is of standard that won't collapse like the former.
As a nation, we must always believe in standard of doing things at least for future purposes. What's the essence of spending less and lives are lost later when it collapses in future.

God bless your soul brother.
Have a fruitful weekend

You too don't know and you're here telling him not to say anything on things he doesn't know?
Do you even know the bridge we're talking about here?
The bridge is way less than 500 meters. Together with the reabilitated access road, everything is still less than 1km.

The bridge at Tatabu village along Mokwa - Jebba road, which collapsed due to heavy rain fall last year, thereby halting vehicular movement from both sides, has been fixed and completed. The Federal Government said the collapsed Tatabu Bridge in Niger State, was rebuilt for N2.5 billion.

The bridge reportedly got an extra 250 and 200 metres access road from both ends.

Minister of State for Power Works and Housing II, Hassan Zarma, during an inspection, attributed the collapse to heavy vehicles plying the road, and poor maintenance culture.

He maintained that the project is part of the Federal Government’s commitment to fixing infrastructure decay.

Tatabu bridge, washed away, after a torrential rainfall, which left all categories of vehicles plying the busy road stranded for days while some trucks fell into the bridge but no life lost.
