President Muhammadu Buhari is scheduled to meet with all the Senators elected under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, tonight at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The meeting, which is billed to take place at 9 pm, is coming barely 24 hours after 14 senators previously in the APC defected to the rival Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.



It is not known whether Senate President Bukola Saraki will be attending.

Mr Saraki is embittered over the security siege laid on his residence and that of his deputy, Ike Ekweremadu, on Monday.

PMB is a different person. Under OBJ, they would take N50bn into Senate chambers and PDP senators (not even APC) would impeach Saraki in 30 mins. All that era is gone and it only btings evil to the country. The PDP has more inner contradictions than A PC especially with the defections. It is better to watch how 12 Presidential candidates and 6 competing factions slug it out. The most stupid thing for an A PC Senator to do is join another defector wave.
