We got wondering why AMAA that stands to be the ‘Oscar’ for African actors didn’t see every A List actor or actress in attendance. Conspicuously absent was Genevieve Nnaji Genevieve Nnaji was not present at the AMAAwards because the organizers didn’t provide her with a helicopter. Source said she had asked for a helicopter. Source said Genevieve was invited to the AMAA but she made the ridiculous request for a helicopter to pick her up and It was perceived as a joke by Peace Anyiam Osigwe, the organizer of the awards but apparently Genny was serious as she didn’t make it to the event. Well i support her yes and no. For the support part, she can request anything, then the promoter can decides if it is worthwhile for them. For example, if queen latifah was coming to that same awards and asked for a helicopter, i'm sure they bring it. However, she is stupid to ask for a helicopter because i have not seen any award show where they used helicopters to bring people. |

It doesnt cost much to hire a smooking chopper to pick her up from her roof-top. After all, it seem to be the cheapest means of geting her to venue because considering executive transport whether by air or road coupled with bodyguard charges. I think she asked for a cheaper transportation means. |

abeg its a lie. even if its true, i believe she has a right to deman for a means of transport. u know she's a celebrity, what if something happens to her on the way. maybe she even made it light for the organizers cos she may be afraid of flying a commercial plane. for example i know one former arsenal player that does not travel by plane out of phobia. i have had some serious turbulence on naija planes recently, genevieve may have also experienced the same resulting in her requesting for a chopper. |

lysaa: Her demand is not senseless. She's a celebrity and a diva, if they want her at the show, they should satisfy her demand. If they were inviting someone from Hollywood, they wont think any demand is too outrageous and would have even rented a private jet is someone like say Beyonce demanded it. osifred: The bold isn't even close to being true; people invited to the Oscars are responsible for their own transportation. Do people even know what it costs to hire a helicopter and have proper clearance and security in place? I refuse to believe there aren't PR people posting/lurking on this board.
