The administration of Governor Udom Emmanuel believes that the State, which is blessed with abundant natural resources, fertile land and good climate can produce sufficient food to feed her population and provide sustainable raw materials for her burgeoning industries. In just three years, the Governor Udom Emmanuel-led administration has:

- Developed 11,000 hectares of coconut plantation
- Developed 2,100 hectares of cassava plantation in 15 LGAs (FADAMA)
- Registered 48,000 rice farmers for CBN anchor borrowers scheme
- Trained 450 youths on Cocoa maintenance
- Distributed 500,000 improved Cocoa seedlings at a highly subsidized rate to farmers in 28 cocoa-producing LGAs
- Constructed Akwa Prime Hatchery with hatches 10,000 day old chicks weekly
- Distributed improved corn seedlings to farmers across the State
- Constructed a Vegetable Green House and has approved the construction of a Cattle ranch
- Cultivated, harvested, processed rice from over 1,200 hectares of rice farm
- Constructed 33 Cassava Micro-processing Mills across the State
- Trained 300 youths in agriculture under the Graduate Unemployment Youth Scheme (GUYS). Each will be empowered with N1m to setup their agric enterprises.
- Approved the Construction of Tractor Hiring Enterprise (AEHE) Center
Refurbished Cassava Processing Factories at Eket, Ibesikpo, Abak.
- Procured 600,000 bags of fertilizer for farmers in the state
- Distributed 500 citrus seedling, 600 hybrid plantain suckers and 1,000 pineapple suckers to farmers in the State
- Established a large hybrid rubber nursery at Okobo in partnership with Rubber Research Institute of Nigeria, for distribution to rubber farmers at a highly subsidized rate
- Established a demonstration plot on various agricultural technologies for transfer of improved technologies to farmers in Akwa Ibom Agriculture Development Programme (AKADEP)
- Partnered with World Bamboo Organization to develop Bamboo in Akwa Ibom
- Installed Maize Preservation/Shelling Machine in Ibesikpo
- Established Nsido Goat Multiplication Scheme (Pioneer multiplication site developed at Nsit Atai)
- Constructed 35 Boreholes for FADAMA across the State
