Spending 242 Billion Naira in an election we know that would be heavily compromised is not fair.

So below are 5 things that virement fund can do in Nigeria.

8 F-35 Supersonic Fighter Jets

F-35 is a fifth generation supersonic fighter jet currently in use in the US Air Force. It capable of both ground attack and air superiority combat and is considered the most advanced fighter jet in the world.

At a speed of 1200 MpH and it's 360 degree vision, it can strike fear in the heart of any terrorist formation.

One of it's great features is it ability to intercept information from hostile aircrafts and passed it to fellow aircrafts for enhanced situational awareness without revealing it's location.

Only few countries use it and none from Africa at the moment and adding this to our airforce fleet that is currently populated with the Chinese F-7, outdated Alpha Jet and Super Tucano will be a great acquisition.

At approximately a unit price of 29 Billion Naira in today's exchange rate, Mr President's virement fund can acquire about 8 units of the jets and still have 10 Billion Naira left.

About 3.4 million Graduates into the N-Power Programme

If President Buhari decides to spend that money on the N-Power Programme, then instead of the 500,000 target they are still struggling to meet, about 3.4 million fresh graduates would be employed for the 2 years the programme is expected to run for each beneficiary.

This means that 3.4 million fresh graduates would be kept busy for the next 2 years.

Nigeria has an average household size of 6 person, so this means that about 20.4 million people would be directly or indirectly affected by that policy.

With just half of those people standing behind him, 2019 election would just be a walk over, but I guess our government will never deliberately do anything that will benefit the masses.

2 Niger Bridges

That fund can build 2 Niger Bridges and still have a balance of about 42 billion remaining.

Fortunately, I guess Igbos don't even need 2 Niger bridges, but just one.

Completing the Bridge will definitely get Mr President some die-hard fans in the East and if he is able to lock down South East there would be no strong opposition to his 2019 ambition.

This would be a win for both parties. Spend less than 100 billion Naira to complete the bridge and the rest (over 142 billion Naira) to fund the election, by the way the last election cost 108 Billion Naira.

I guess our yam eaters would rather dare Nigerians than surrender 100 billion Naira to do the right thing.

79% Ogoni Clean Up

Few years back, the Federal Government through the Vice Preisdent launched a 1 billion Dollar Ogoni Clean-up with is equivalent to about 306 Billion Naira in today's exchange rate.

Ever since then, only 20 Million Nairahad been budgeted for that exercise, and that was in 2017.

If Mr President if sincere with cleaning up Ogoni, he should know that, that virement fund can get 79% of the job done.
