Fomer Super Eagles Goal stopper and the “24th man” honorary member of the World cup squad to Russia 2018, Carl Onora Ikeme a native of Anambra state South-East Nigeria born 8th of June 1986, 6ft 1inch tall and weighs 84.81kg has announced his retirement from football at the age of 32.

According to the former Nigeria and Wolves safe hands made his decision based on medical advice. In July 2017, Ikeme was diagnosed with acute leukaemia. A year later, after being in complete remission, he officially retired from football.
