Students of the Uniport staying at First Mechanic Road, Alakahia are currently traumatized after Been Attacked my Armed robbers on the 26th of July..
The students were jolted on Thursday when about 30 assailants reportedly armed with cutlasses and guns stormed the lodge around 2am, dispossessing residents of their valuables.
According to reports the robbers went round with a PoS forcing students, who did not have cash, to use their ATM cards to do credit transfers.

The deadly robbers were unstoppable as policemen at a nearby police station reportedly failed to show up after a distress call was put across to them.

Catching a thief with POS should be the easiest thing to do.
Every POS is attached to an account. Its a simple question of your bank giving you the details of the POS that accepted the transaction from your card and then the receiving bsnk to reveal the identity of the owner of the POS assigned.
I think its even stupid and dumb to rob using a POS.

Once the criminals left they will surface and maybe arrest some of the victim so that they can bail themselves out.

The nearest police station to that location is the one near Helena Haven.

The students should go and lodge a report of the theft to the C4I police at Aluu - they like these kind of cases.

It is most likely the robbers are fellow students by the way and not indigenes as they claim, there is always an increase in violent activities during second semester - some cult related.
