By Dennis Agbo ENUGU-

ARDENT supporter of President Mohammadu Buhari and the Director General Voice of Nigeria, Mr. Osita Okechukwu has picked holes in Igbo leaders rejection of ceeding Presidency to Ndigbo in 2023.

The Igbo Leaders of Thought, ILT, led by Erudite Professors Ben Nwabueze, Chinwite Ejike and Elochukwu Amuchiazu had during the weekend called for pursuit of restructuring of Nigeria polity over other than a President of Igbo extraction.

But Okechukwu in a swift reaction on Sunday disagreed with the Igbo Leaders, saying that Ndigbo need Presidency to end cries of marginalisation.

Okechukwu said “I am in the know that most of Ndigbo are keen on Nigeria president of Igbo extraction come 2023.

“The Igbo president in 2023, will in no small measure cushion sulking and wrinkling of hands over marginalisation.

“Restructuring will only succeed when the weaker states and people are assured of basic needs of survival. This is the target of President Buhari’s RRAP projects.

“I Am accordingly pleading with Professor Ben Nwabueze and co to join us in appealing to all geopolitical zones in the country, to support any Igbo man or woman of their choice in 2023.

“For by then, South East will be the only geopolitical zone in the South that had not been president since the zoning convention took off in 1999. This is more pragmatic than utopian.”

The priority is not Igbo Presidency....
The priority is a system that does not produce lazy governors...
A system where every state reaps what it sows...

There are zones that have had Presidency the most....
Those zones today, how are they faring?
Are they better of?

Did OBJ make South-West Dubai?
Was South-South/South-East as sweet as New York when GEJ was President?
Buhari,before and after,how far?

Let every state fight for itself....
So that we can attack governors whom most times have proven to be more clueless than our Presidents.....

Osita and Igbokwe will say anything for 2019 but the truth is that Igbo Presidency is not on the plate for now......nobody will fall for it,try something else...

Talking about Igbo presidency is like talking about a car with a very bad engine, instead of talking about how to fix the engine, some are talking about getting an Igbo driver for the car!

The car will not function well no matter who is the driver so what's the point?

We Igbos should be thinking of exercising our right of self determination to get a new car to take us to our destination since Nigeria is already a disaster

Osita Okechukwu does even have a chieftaincy title from his hometown, his people don't even regard him.

The true Igbo leaders have spoken and we the true Igbos stand with them.
We don't need any presidency, all we want is a workable federation called Nigeria and restructuring is the only way to it.

Igbo Presidency in 2023 will give Igbos greater sense of belonging in the Nigerian project.
