JOB SUMMARY
Checks and loads tools and equipment, and prepare work sites. Inspect, clean, repair and maintain tools and vehicles, and may drive trucks or other equipment. Also provides general assistance to Well Service Operators.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Preparing, checking and loading tools and equipment as required.

2. Using specialized snubbing equipment (used for wells under pressure) to insert or remove drill
pipe, tubing or specialized equipment into or from a well.

3. Assisting in the assembly of equipment and tools.

4. Supporting rig-up and rig-down operations.

5. Assisting with cementing and rigging in high pressure steel piping from mounted equipment to the
wellhead.
6. Supporting service operations by performing any tasks required.

7. Assisting drivers and operators of pipeline transportation equipment.

8. Providing general assistance with pre/post-job operations.

9. Assisting with the rig-in and rig-out operation of well-testing equipment

10. Performing pre/post-trip vehicle inspections

11. Driving equipment trucks

12. Assisting with the operation of well cementing equipment.

13. Assisting in spotting the units and watching for hazards.

14. Signalling drivers during loading and backing up operations.

15. Driving wireline or picker units from a base location to the well site.

16. Performing preventative maintenance on stimulation equipment (fracturing unit).

17. Assisting with the maintenance of well cementing equipment.

18. Cleaning and maintaining vehicles, wireline tools and related equipment.

19. Performing simple maintenance on tools and trucks.

20. Attending safety and other training including formal shop training and certification courses

21. Following safe work practices during operations.


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

A high school diploma (or equivalent) is typically preferred.
Basic mechanical skills.
