The premier league starts August 10 and along with it, the world’s most anticipated soccer game, the “Fantasy Premier League.” Many managers are busy making signings and selling players as they try to get the highest points. As the league starts, here are the best strikers you can bet on to score following their heroics towards the end of last season and their preseason form.

THE BIG BOYS
Harry Kane £12.5

England’s golden boy Hary Kane is an excellent investment that will yield returns in the number of goals he will score. Though Kane has always struggled in the month of August after having 34 shots and played 12 games without scoring in the Premier League. One would hope that Kane would find the back of the net as they take on Newcastle (A), Fulham (H), Manchester United (A), Watford (A) and Liverpool (H). With the support he gets from the Tottenham midfield, the 12.5 striker is one you should get.

Pierre Emerick Aubameyang | £11m

Ten goals in 13 matches after swapping from Germany to England is all you need to convince you that Aubameyang is a real deal. The former Borussia Dortmund player is sharp and has real precision in front of goal. Arsenal will have a tough opening week, and their first five fixtures are against Manchester City (H), Chelsea (A), West Ham (H), Cardiff (A), Newcastle (A). New coach Unai Emery will be looking to give the striker more game time in order to see them through

Romelu Lukaku £11m

The Manchester United striker could top the goals scoring charts if he weren’t playing most of his games as a lone striker and being a little bit wasteful with his first touches. That doesn’t stop him from scoring though as his value is still high and he will give in the goals and points. He may likely have support from Alexis Sanchez who is beginning to pick up form following his heroics in the preseason. Manchester United’s first five games are Leicester City (H), Brighton (A), Tottenham (H), Burnley (A), and Watford (A). Fancy the attacker to find the back of the net against 3 of the oppositions.

Roberto Firminho £9.5m

Roberto Firminho happens to be the third best Striker in the league last season behind Kane (217 points) and Vardy (183 points). In a season dominated by Salah’s heroics (303 points), Firminho managed 181 points to prove his worth. He is still cheaper than Harry Kane (£12.5m), Aguero (£11m), Lukaku (£11m), and Gabriel Jesus (£10.5m). With Mane inform the arrival Shaqiri, he will get more support and hopefully more goals.

Sergio Aguero £11m

An ever-present figure when it comes to the best strikers in the league, Sergio Aguero is still sharp as ever. The Manchester City striker though is heading towards the latter stages of his career and will likely see his game time reduced this season. Manchester City’s opening five games will be exciting and could see the striker rack up goals. A trip to Arsenal on City’s opening match will be followed by matches against Huddersfield (H), Wolves (A), Newcastle (H) and Fulham (H). Should be worth a shot as his total score for last season was 169 points.

Gabriel Jesus £10.5

Injuries were likely part of why many persons avoided Gabriel Jesus last season. He was also not helped by Guardiola’s rotation policy as the in-form Aguero was used for most games. Though things may change this season as Aguero is getting older and Jesus is set to replace him. It all still depends on the coach but that should’s stop you from getting the striker who hit 13 goals and seven assists in 29 matches for the blue side of Manchester.

Jamie Vardy £9.0

Jamie Vardy
The departure of Mahrez from Leicester must have affected Vardy as a lot of Fantasy teams I have seen have chosen to omit the striker. At 31 though he has enough premier league experience as he breached Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham’s defences last season earning him 189 points. At £9.0 he is rather expensive given that Mahrez is no longer there, but he should be able to conjure up some magic and surprise us this season. Leicester will open the campaign against Manchester United (A), and it will be followed by games against Wolves (H), Southampton (A), Liverpool (H) and Bournemouth (A).
