The killings, division and economic strangulation is too much. This is not about hate for Buhari but of Buhari’s incompetence to lead a diverse and economically volatile nation like Nigeria. He might mean well but his very nature is injurious to Nigeria’s corporate existence.

Which economic strangulation are you talking about by Buhari? Is it the economic GDP growth that Jonathan met at 7.68% when he assumed office in 2010 & plunged it to 2.36% in May 2015 when he left office? Is it the external reserves that was plunged from over $50bn to $29bn despite the oil boom during his tenure? Is that not the real strangulation by Ebelemi aka the ineffectual buffoon? You think we've forgotten?

And what do you mean by ethnic/religious division? The PDP are the real devils there! Even though Yoruba's own Lagos, the state is a melting point for all Nigerians. Every residents of Lagos is a Lagosian irrespective of tribe. Therefore, all Lagosian will use and equally benefit from the road. This should not be tribalized.

What is desperate about awarding a road rehabilitation contract? Is it not the responsibility of federal government to build new roads and rehabilitate existing ones?

Have they completed the Lagos Ibadan express road like they completed the Abuja metro and the Kaduna-Abuja railways that was built by PDP.
This is simply an avenue for Buhari and APC to steal money through Dangote for the elections.

A majority of the projects the Muhammadu Buhari administration is working on was inherited from previous administrations, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity has said.

Mr Femi Adesina said this when he appeared on Channels Television’s special Independence anniversary programme on Sunday.

“Most of the things this administration is doing – 60 to 70 percent of them – were initiated by previous governments,” he said.

“That shows you that in the past a government will come and say ‘this is not our project’ And it will discard what was being done and start fresh ones.”

As a result, Mr Adesina said there are many half and quarter-completed abandoned projects.
But rather than abandon the project, he explained that the current administration will complete it.

An example is the Abuja-Kaduna rail project which the Presidential aide said was up to maybe 60 to 70 percent complete when the last administration left.

What I don't understand is why they are making it look like they are expanding the road to 10 lanes. The road right from time has always been a 10 lane expressway, and government has failed to realise that the problem of that road is due to port congestion and the fact that these same truckers and people living around the surrounding areas all block the drainage on the road, so even if they fix the road again, if you don't solve the issue of port congestion by opening up the port in other states, and also for Lagosians to be more sensible when it comes to waste disposal, five years from now we will still come back to this same debate.

I recall that Jonathan actually fixed the road from Coconut to Cele bus stop. I was working in Apapa then I saw the kind of drainage system Julius Berger designed there. If those drains are not blocked by waste and if the local authorities clear silt from there, and pressure due to port congestion is reduced the road will last a long time

It is desperation. The government should stop working and abstain from anything progress and development because it's almost election time.

I have said it time and time again that the biggest problem Nigeria is facing right now is not lack of money poverty or lack of basic amenities but the abject poverty of the minds that saturates the whole of the country particularly this generation youth.
To think that a so called youth is saying government should ground to a halt and Nigerians don't deserve development because election is coming says a lot about the average Nigerian mind.

Dangote is not building Obajana road for free. The company will get tax credit for the cost of construction.
